China stood out in the IV World Cadet Games’ Military Pentathlon

On a vibrant and energetic morning, the Military Pentathlon began within the framework of the IV World Cadet Games, an event that brings together young talents from sister countries in the sports complex of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army of Venezuela. The day began with the exciting challenge of the pool with obstacles, a test that demonstrates the physical skill, strategy and endurance of the competitors.

The delegations of China, Russia, Turkey and Venezuela, each composed of 32 athletes, faced each other in this discipline. The Venezuelan competitors opened the competition with times of 45:23 and 46:88 seconds, while the Chinese athlete stood out with an impressive time of 38:65 seconds. The Chinese competitors continued to shine, recording times of 34:17 and 35:46 seconds, and the Russian athletes achieved 32:58 and 33:49 seconds.

The duel between China and Russia was quite close, where the Chinese delegation won with a time of 31:38 seconds against Russia’s 33:41 seconds. In the men’s category, the athletes also demonstrated their ability, where China beat Venezuela in several rounds, however the Venezuelan athletes demonstrated their conviction with times of 29:99, 31:55 and 32:31 seconds.

China also managed to beat Turkiye by a few seconds and in the confrontation between the Russian athlete against the Venezuelan, Russia achieved a time of 27:31 and Venezuela 32:00 seconds.

Russia individually achieved a time of 25:51 and 26:68 seconds.

The day culminated with an exciting clash between Russia and Turkiye, where the Turkish delegation took the victory with a time of 25:86 seconds, beating Russia, which recorded 26:14 seconds.

The Inspector of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, Major General Winder Enrique González Urdaneta, closed the day with words of encouragement to the Venezuelan cadets, urging them to show their patriotism and commitment.

This event not only highlights the dedication and preparation of the cadets, but also celebrates the spirit of camaraderie that characterizes the World Cadet Games, promoting sporting excellence among the participating nations.
