The national tricolor women’s fencing team wins the gold medal.

Venezuela is filled with glory and joy at the IV World Cadet Games with the overwhelming victory of the women’s fencing team in the épée and foil categories, in which each competitor has the opportunity to face members of the opposing team, which adds a strategic element to the competition.

The teams must work together, using tactics that maximize their individual strengths and minimize those of the rival team, and it is there where the fencers Andrade Evelis, Fermín Karla and Valladares Sofia delighted us with a show of skill and strategy, giving Venezuela the gold in the team sword category, against the Russian team.

In the team foil event, the fencers Bohorquez Verusk, Briceño Aixmar and Osuna Mariolis crowned the national team with the second gold medal, leaving the Russian team in second place again, undoubtedly a reflection of the perseverance and competitive spirit of the athletes.

The men’s team also stood out for its participation in the team sabre event, with Brizuela Julio, González Wilmer and Romero Moisés giving the host country a third gold medal.
