Tiuna Fort, Caracas, Venezuela, August 22, 2024 – The “El Libertador” shooting range witnessed an epic closing in the men’s shooting discipline of the IV World Cadet Games Venezuela 2024. Cadets from China, Russia, Iran, Pakistan, Nicaragua, Mozambique and Venezuela gave their maximum effort in each shot, leaving an indelible mark on this competition.
In the men’s individual rapid pistol category, Li Dahe from China took first place with 280 points, followed by the Russian Kostov Egor, who took second place with 265 points and third place went to Qi Xin, also from China, who achieved a score of 263 points. The athletes demonstrated impressive precision and speed, giving the public an unforgettable show.
In the men’s individual rapid-fire competition, China and Russia engaged in a thrilling duel. Finally, China’s Ma Jianglong took the gold with 218 points, followed by his compatriot Zhan Dongru who managed to reach 202 points and Russia took the bronze thanks to Barnaev Stepan with a score of 196 points.
The IV World Cadet Games have been a resounding success, demonstrating Venezuela’s ability to organize international sporting events. Cadets from different countries have lived together in an atmosphere of unity and respect, making friends through sport.
The closing ceremony of the shooting category was attended by the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Honduras, Major General Roosevelt Leonel Hernández Aguilar, highlighting the importance of these competitions to strengthen international ties.
Venezuela appreciates the participation of all nations in these games, which have contributed to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between young cadets from around the world.
