Venezuela Champion in Women’s Volleyball

From the Gymnasium of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army of Venezuela, the final of the IV World Cadet Games took place, in the women’s volleyball category, where the team of our country took the gold medal by winning a euphoric game of 25×16 in the third segment against the Russian Federation.

The event was then attended by the Vice Minister of Defense Education and rector of the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela, Major General Félix Osorio Guzmán, accompanied by Major General José Adenilo Ornelas Ferreira, Chief of Staff of the Commander-in-Chief of the FANB and Secretary of the National Defense Council and Major General Elio Estrada Paredes, Commander of the Bolivarian National Guard of Venezuela.

Competitor Carlybeth Gunrry Quintana thanked the support of the Venezuelan fans and highlighted that the prize stayed at home thanks to the efforts of the Venezuelan team.

Likewise, the Cadets in the men’s volleyball category had a very close streak at the time of playing, since the Russian Federation gave battle in the three segments that gave it the victory, leaving Venezuela in second place with a silver medal, after leaving a very even score that left more than one fan euphoric from the adrenaline that was present at the game.

It is important to highlight that the disciplines developed during these games are: Athletics, military pentathlon, rifle and pistol shooting; swimming, orienteering, volleyball and fencing, thus showing brotherhood and competitiveness among all our athletes.
